Rules
- Tee-time reservations available up to seven days in advance for the Public and fourteen days in advance for Residents of King City Civic Association as well as Annual and Seasonal Pass Holders.
- Walk-ins are allowed but making a tee-time is encouraged.
- Please provide 24-hour notice when possible if needing to cancel a tee time.
- All golfers must start on the first tee, pay green fees, and check in with the Pro Shop prior to play.
- All golfers must have their own clubs.
- Children under 10 years of age must play with an adult. Individuals must be 6 years old or older in order to be on the golf course.
- Non-golfers are allowed on the golf course. Rules include:
- There is a limit of one non-golfer per golfer associated with the reservation.
- Priority for power carts is to those golfing. Additional power carts will not be rented to non-golfers without approval by the Pro Shop staff at the time of play.
- Non-golfers must adhere to the course dress code and other posted rules.
- Any person accompanying a golfer must be over the age of 6 years old. Proof of age may be requested.
- Any person walking along as a non-golfer must not play any shots or take swings at a ball while on the course. Those who do will need to pay the full green fee and may be restricted from non-golfers joining them in the future.
- Non-golfers must be mindful of the hazards of a golf course including stray golf shots and golfers swinging clubs. Non-golfers must stay near the group their golfer is with.
- Alcoholic beverages must be purchased from the Pro Shop with appropriate and valid identification. No outside alcoholic beverages shall be brought onto the golf course.
- Golfers are responsible and liable for any damage or injury caused by their ball or equipment.
- Respect private property along the golf course. Golfers are only allowed to enter a yard for a ball with homeowner approval.
- Hand and power carts are not allowed on tee boxes, greens, and approaches.
- Replace all divots and repair ball marks on greens.
- Out-of-bounds is governed by white stakes and street curbs.
- Golfers get a free drop from flower beds.
- Maintenance area between number 4 and number 6 fairways is an immoveable obstruction. Drop ball to nearest point of relief or drop circle.
- All golfers and those accompanying golfers must wear a shirt with sleeves, or for ladies, a sleeveless collared shirt. We ask that you not wear sweatpants, athletic shorts or cut-offs, or any T-shirt containing distasteful images or vocabulary.
- Pets of any kind are not allowed on the golf course at any time. Certified ADA Service animals are allowed but must follow strict ADA guidelines.
- Golfers are permitted to play only one ball per hole, as outlined in the Rules of Golf. Playing multiple balls for practice purposes during a round is prohibited. The course is intended for play, not for practice or use as a driving range.
- Inclement Weather Policy
- This facility does not possess an inclement weather warning or detection system. Golfers are advised to play at their own risk and we are under no obligation to warn, retrieve, and/or remove anyone from the golf course due to inclement weather, including lighting.
- Golfers may suspend their round at any time upon their own determination of the dangers of existing, impending or threatening inclement weather and golfers may be eligible for a rain check. Neither King City Golf Course nor King City Civic Association are responsible for injuries or damage resulting from inclement weather.
Riding Golf Carts
- Those driving a riding golf cart, either rented or personal, must be 18 years old or older.
- Any golf cart for use on the golf course property must pay a daily or annual cart trail fee prior to use on the course. Any riding golf cart must be specifically designed for golf course use and have tires of traditional golf cart size. Private golf carts must adhere to posted cart requirements.
- Power carts are not allowed on tee boxes, greens, and approaches.
- Power carts should use 90-degree rule at all times unless otherwise posted.
- Please keep all carts at least 20 feet from tees and greens and should be no closer to the green than the painted white line.
- Driving power carts are restricted to two riders per cart unless the golf cart was specifically designed to accommodate additional riders.
- A maximum of 2 carts may be rented to any one tee time due to limited cart availability.
Rule Violation Policy
Individuals who do not follow the guidelines outlined above will be addressed in accordance with our Rule Violation Policy outlined below. The outlined Rule Violation Policy is merely a guideline and the penalty can exceed steps listed based on frequency or severity of violations.
- Verbal and Written Warning
- 30-day Suspension (without refund of any unusable period of Annual, Seasonal, or Youth Pass)
- 90-day Suspension (without refund of any unusable period of Annual, Seasonal, or Youth Pass)
- Permanent Suspension
- After 365 days have passed, the suspended individual may submit a letter to the King City Civic Association Greens Committee and Board of Directors stating why they should be allowed back, and if approved by each, can be allowed to return.
